Brooke has been a part of the fire service family for 25 years as her husband has been in the field for several decades. Brooke specializes in working with first responders and adult individuals who are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, parenting, and a variety of other challenges. She also has extensive experience working with clients experiencing grief and loss. Brooke is certified in EMDR and is trained in Level I and II of Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Being that each client has unique needs and individual personalities, she uses a variety of techniques and approaches to counseling. These approaches include, but are not limited to, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, emotion-focused therapy, and person-centered therapy. Brooke believes in the power of a client's story, who they are, where they have come from, and where they are going. Her approach is to join with clients and assist them on their journey by encouraging, supporting, and often challenging them along the way. Brooke sees her clients as the experts of their own lives and, through a shared experience, her hope is to explore the client's story and invite them to engage in reflections, reframing, and to create new stories as a result of the therapeutic interactions.
