Marisa Schuster is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's Degree in Community Counseling. She also has a BA in Communication from the University of Pittsburgh. Marisa is a Certified Grief Informed Professional Counselor and has been serving in the mental health field for over 16 years. Marisa has worked in various settings including: Elementary and High Schools, College Counseling, an Outpatient Clinic and Private Practice. She has worked with various counseling populations including: children, adolescents, adults, individual, couples and family therapy, in addition to grief and crisis counseling. She has has a special interest in First Responders and Military members. She has a brother whom is a Veteran from the U.S. Army and is married to a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Marisa combines experience with education to provide a realistic and welcoming approach to counseling by empowering individuals in their journey and help them along their path. While Marisa utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral and Behavioral Approach, she believes that no one person is the same and that having an eclectic approach to help others is important. Marisa has experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, personality disorders, and dual diagnosis clients ranging from children to adults. Clients are able to utilize Marisa's Tele-Mental Health Credential if they need to ease into feeling comfortable in the in-office setting. She enjoys reading, spending time with her family and traveling, having been to over 15 countries.
