Laura graduated from Liberty University with a Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling in 2011, and a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Christopher Newport University in 2000. She feels that the counseling field chose her to accomplish the goal of helping others where they are and where they want to go. She utilizes cognitive behavior therapy, motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, narrative therapy, play techniques, and art techniques to reach those goals. Laura became certified to work with first responders in 2019 as there is a need for additional help for all.
