As a Certified First Responder Counselor, Kimberly understands the critical importance of a safe, confidential space to process the unique stressors inherent in public safety culture. Through her lived experience as a public safety professional's wife and mother, she has witnessed firsthand the trials, triumphs, and cumulative impact these careers can have on individuals and families. Kimberly collaborates with first responders to restore peace, resilience, hope, and improve their quality of life in their day-to-day functioning.
Using a multi-faceted, evidence-based approach grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, Kimberly supports first responders experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, occupational stress, relationship challenges, and alcohol misuse. She also specializes in helping individuals recover from traumatic events, build self-esteem, and manage anxiety through a personalized, multi-modal treatment approach tailored to each client’s needs.
Kimberly is a strong advocate for mental health and wellness within the public safety community. She leverages her clinical expertise to educate, support, and reduce stigma through her roles as an instructor at local law enforcement and fire/EMS academies and as a public speaker at first responder events. Her specialized training through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) in Critical Incident Stress Management and Debriefing further strengthens her ability to support first responders navigating high-stress and critical incidents.
Kimberly is an approved clinician through numerous public safety organizations, including the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, National Fraternal Order of Police, CopLine, Blue Line Rescue, Red Line Rescue, Gold Line Rescue, Warriors Rest Foundation, Warfighter Overwatch Collective, Speak Up: Tomorrow Needs You, 911 At Ease, Therapy Aid Coalition, BlueLine Support, and Survive First. She is also a trained Traumas of Law Enforcement clinician and holds certifications in Stress First Aid and Psychological First Aid.
Kimberly offers first responders a reduced rate of $80 per session and provides all other clients with an income-based sliding fee scale ranging from $90–$160. She accepts Cigna, Quest, Ascension, Anthem, Carelon and Aetna insurance and offers both in-person and telehealth sessions throughout Florida.
In addition to her clinical work, Kimberly is a Qualified Supervisor for mental health students and registered interns in Florida.
