Jody completed Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling at Southeast Missouri State University in 2011. She has obtained certification in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) in 2016, working with individuals, families, and couples with varying degrees of both simple and complex trauma. In 2021, Jody completed certification for Certified First Responder Counselor. She also serves as the Mental Health Professional for the local police department Peer Support Team. As Assistant Clinical Director of Great Oak Counseling, she also develops and maintains relationships with local first responder departments, bridging the gap between responders and mental health.
