About
With over 20 years of experience as a first responder and emergency/trauma nurse, Adam O’Brien brings a deep, lived understanding of the challenges faced by those on the front lines. As a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner, Adam takes a holistic, person-centered approach to care—one that blends clinical expertise with empathy, practical wisdom, and a steadfast commitment to resilience and recovery.
Adam has served for the past five years as an intermittent federal disaster nurse with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, available to deploy to support communities during some of their most critical moments. He is now launching a private practice dedicated to child and adolescent psychiatry, as well as the unique mental health needs of first responders. With a calm presence, a trauma-informed lens, and a passion for supporting those who serve others, Adam offers an authentic and grounded space for healing, growth, and long-term wellness.
